This has been a year full of surprises as it relates to our Benefit programs. From plan changes to delayed care to effects of WFH on plans, it's been a wild ride. Many of us have made changes on the fly to our plans to ensure that we're serving our employees and our business in the most efficient and empathic manner. As we approach the traditional "Open Enrollment Season" we will be faced with analytics and modeling that are going to be new to ALL of us.

Our Speakers

Tom Erlin, Business Consultant

  • As a Business Consultant, Tom is focused on the strategy development of his clients’ benefits/rewards programs as well as overseeing the successful deployment of all Sequoia team members and services
  • Prior to joining Sequoia, Tom held a similar position for Willis Towers Watson, a global consulting firm, for seven years. While at WTW, Tom led domestic and global benefit strategies for clients ranging from 100 – 15,000 employees.
  • Tom’s clients include Uber, Zoom, Anaplan, Postmates, Samsara and other high-profile, innovative organizations
  • Tom brings nearly ten years of HR/Benefits experience and graduated from Cal Poly, SLO with a degree in Business Administration and a focus in Human Resources.
  • Tom holds his Accident, Health and Life license as well as his certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Eric Kosmack, Manager, Client Financial Analytics

  • Eric leads Sequoia’s Client Financial Consulting/Analytics practice
  • His responsibilities include setting the direction of Sequoia’s CFC service offering and value proposition
  • Eric also works directly with many of Sequoia’s larger, more complex self-insured clients
  • Prior to joining Sequoia, Eric held a similar position at a national benefits consulting firm for 5 years
  • Eric graduated from Montclair State University with a BS in Mathematics

 Kaleana Quibell, Wellbeing Director

  • At Sequoia, Kaleana is responsible for needs assessment, vendor selection, strategy and planning, and rollout support for wellbeing programs. She has spent over 8 years in the employee program space, working in recruiting, human resources, and wellbeing program functions.
  • She was recognized as one of EBA’s 2017 Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising this year for her role in Sequoia’s innovative approach to holistic wellbeing with our clients.
  • Kaleana has BA degrees in Psychology and Communications and earned a MA degree in Organizational Psychology, focusing on workplace engagement and motivation.

Sequoia Consultanting has been helping their 1000+ clients since 2001 to provide the benefits menu that both attracts and retains employees.
