Communications & Marketing
The Communications & Marketing Committee supports the mission of the Arizona Total Rewards Association by promoting programs, events, and member engagement through email, social media, and other marketing channels. The committee helps strengthen the organization’s brand and ensures timely communication with the Arizona Total Rewards community.

Events & Programs
The purpose of the Events & Programs Committee is to source and develop events and educational programs that contribute to member professional development and to provide for peer networking opportunities.
The Committee is responsible for:
- Recommending an annual events calendar, source and secure high quality event speakers and topics based on an ongoing analysis of member professional development needs.
- Developing program communications for members and nonmembers in support of attendance at events
- Serving as the coordinator and moderator for events each calendar year.
- Serving as liaison to speakers.
Committee members should have the skills to help with the process of developing high quality programming, be professionally aware of “hot” topics, trends and emerging issues in compensation, benefits and related total rewards management issues and possess experience in marketing and sourcing in order to identify potential program speakers. The Committee shall collaborate with all other members of the Board to help attract and retain members and influential non members in support of the overall growth of ATRA.
Membership Development
The purpose of the Membership Development Committee is to market and communicate the benefits of membership and ATRA’s scheduled events in order to recruit and retain members. The Membership Development Committee also seeks opportunities to generate revenue for ATRA which enhances the organization to host quality programs for members and the broader HR community.
The Committee is responsible for developing, administering and ensuring overall effectiveness of:
- Membership campaigns/acquisition of new members and retention and satisfaction of members.
Committee members should be familiar with marketing concepts and the benefits of a variety of media (print and electronic), have analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as written communication skills. Members should be open to new ideas as well as present opportunities to market ATRA to the HR community. The Committee shall collaborate with all other members of the Board as well as with other committees to ensure consistent messaging.
